Crabbs | 2017 NFL Draft Report: Miami (FL) Tight End David Njoku

Much is made about Alabama TE O.J. Howard and his receiving prowess. Yet he may be outdone by David Njoku in terms of his receiving ceiling. Njoku’s development throughout the course of his 2016 redshirt sophomore season was as impressive a path as one could witness.

Njoku’s touchdown and yardage outputs exploded over the course of the final seven games on the 2016 schedule.

I was fortunate enough to see Njoku this year live in Miami; where the Hurricanes routed the Pittsburgh Panthers and Njoku leaps his way into my priority watch list with a somersault touchdown in the first quarter. Njoku’s ascention to a potential first round selection did not take long to gain steam after his declaration.

A high value move piece with high end potential as an in line blocker, Njoku’s receiving skills will translate quickly and his blocking skills have room to grow and further influence his impact on the game going forward.

The following David Njoku NFL Draft report is a sample from Kyle Crabbs’ 2017 NFL Draft Prospectus. The Prospectus consists of 300 prospect reports and is available with an NDT Scouting Premium Subscription.
