2018 California Bears prospect primer

Below are notable California Bears players eligible for the 2018 NFL Draft. Cal has some gifted talent but many of their biggest playmakers, such as WR Demetris Robertson, are not eligible for this year’s NFL Draft. Robertson broke WR Desean Jackson’s freshman record with 50 receptions last year. The Bears do bring back a notable amount of experience on the back seven; three of their four starting linebackers and both starting cornerbacks were starters during the 2016 season as well.

Offense

Running Back Tre Watson – 5110, 205 – Senior

Defense

Defensive End James Looney – 6030, 280 – Senior

Second on the team with 7.5 tackles for loss as a Junior.

Linebacker Devante Downs – 6030, 245 – Senior

Returning starter was the team’s leading tackler in 2016 (83).

Cornerback Marloshawn Franklin – 5110, 195 – Senior

Led the team with 6 passes broken up last season and tallied 46 total tackles last year as well.
