2018 Arizona Wildcats prospect primer

Below are notable Arizona Wildcats players eligible for the 2018 NFL Draft. Arizona has 14 starters back (7 on each side of the football) and figures to be back on the up-swing under Coach Rich Rodriguez. The team would love to see one of their top players, RB Nick Wilson, play to his full potential this year but his health has been a barrier for two consecutive seasons.

Offense

Offensive Lineman Jacob Alsadek – 6070, 315 – Senior

Offensive Lineman Gerhard de Beer – 6070, 314 – Senior

Running Back Nick Wilson, 5100, 208 – Senior

The former super-freshman (2014) has seen his carries cut in nearly half each of the last two seasons. Arizona’s offense could certainly use the extra juice in their offense, which was 100th in points per game last year. Wilson is compact and if healthy would benefit greatly from Rich Rodriguez’s spread offense. Wilson hits the hole hard and although he doesn’t have great long speed, he’s capable of breaking chunk gains thanks to how quick he is to press forward.

It remains to be seen if the knee injury Wilson suffered last year will rob him of any mobility.
