NFL Scouting Combine 2018 player measurement tracker
It’s finally here! The 2018 NFL Scouting Combine is upon us and it’s time for all the size measurements and athletic testing data for prospects that draft fans have been waiting for.
The good news? We’re here to track every bit of it. As results and information is available, we’ll be tracking the data for you in real time.
What is Alabama safety Minkah Fitpatrick’s actual size? How fast does North Carolina State defensive end Bradley Chubb run a 40-yard dash? How high can Penn State running back Saquon Barkley leap in the vertical jump? How big are USC quarterback Sam Darnold’s hands? How many reps of 225 pounds can Notre Dame guard Quenton Nelson lift? How long are Texas offensive tackle Connor Williams’ arms?
We have you covered as the results unfold; this is your one-stop-shop to see real-time results!
This data is a vital component of the NFL scouting process. Each team has certain thresholds that it require for prospects to meet at each position. It may seem silly to talk about the arm length of a defensive end, but NFL teams have baselines they need to meet.
The combine is an important cross-check between film evaluations and true athletic testing. If a player is fast on film but runs a slow 40-yard dash then we need to understand the disconnect. Likewise, if a player doesn’t seem fast on film but blazes in the 40-yard dash we need to go back to the tape to understand why.
Wherever you are over the course of the next several days, sit back and enjoy the data as it becomes available.
