Director of Scouting Kyle Crabbs joined the New York Giants’ John Schmeelk and former Giants punter Jeff Feagles to talk about the 2017 NFL Draft class Friday on the Giants.com Big Blue Kickoff Live show. Looking at the draft through a New York Giants specific scope; the trio discusses the Wide Receiver tiers at the top of the draft, how late the Giants can wait to find a quality Tight End prospect, how to tier the top running backs in this class and how many Quarterbacks we can expect to see come off the board at the end of the month. The group spends notable time also discussing the merits of top passing prospects and why one may be targeted as the first signal caller off the board.
The defensive conversation centers around mid-round linebacker targets (Crabbs mentions Ohio’s Blair Brown, Florida’s Alex Anzalone and others), how deep the cornerback class can provide staring caliber players and just how deep the Defensive End hungry Giants can look to add more pass rushers to their roster.
This marks the third time Crabbs has joined the Big Blue Kickoff Live show; his previous guest visits include a pre-2016 NFL Draft visit and a live spot at the 2017 NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
