Below are the notable Wake Forest players eligible for the 2018 NFL Draft. Wake Forest is a team looking to capitalize on some positive momentum; the team won a bowl game for the first time since 2008. It’s no coincidence that the team sports a handful of notable NFL Draft prospects to mark it’s return to relevancy in the ACC.
Tight End Cam Serigne – 6030, 250 – Senior
Serigne is currently slated as the only starter who is a senior in his eligibility. While his production has been modest since setting a school record with 54 receptions in 2014; so has the Quarterback play at Wake Forest over the course of the past several seasons.
But Serigne is faced with a senior season in which he must establish some winning traits; learning to play with more effectiveness in contested situations would help to mask some of his physical limitations as a player.
Defensive End Duke Ejiofor – 6040, 270 – Senior
Ejiofor is one of the more accomplished pass rushers returning to the ACC this season this 17.0 sacks and 26.5 tackles for loss in 30 career games.
He is a productive player but our Joe Marino feels Ejiofor has been guilty at time of “leaving some meat on the bone” in terms of his production. His size profile projects favorably to the NFL; now he looks to fully flesh out his resume prior to entering the NFL Draft.
