2018 Kentucky Wildcats prospect primer

Below are notable Kentucky Wildcats players eligible for the 2018 NFL Draft. Although Kentucky had notable wins against Louisville and made it to a bowl game, their coach was prompted to promise more progress after they did not have a single player selected in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Offensive Guard Nick Haynes – 6’3”, 300 lbs. – Senior

Haynes is well versed in every position along the line. He’ll mostly likely line up as a Guard in the NFL due to his size and light-footed pulls. He even lined up as an H-back which shows his athleticism. Pro Football Focus had him rated as a 2nd team All-SEC guard.

Safety Mike Edwards – 6’0”, 200 lbs. – Junior

Edwards was already on his way to 100 tackle season before he blasted onto the scene when he intercepted Lamar Jackson twice. Teammates and coaches laud him for his intelligence. His combination of tackling and cover skills is what NFL teams are looking for in prime safeties.

Linebacker Jordan Jones – 6’2”, 221 lbs. – Junior

As a first-time starter for the Kentucky Wildcats, Jones forced his way onto the scene with a 19-tackle performance in the season opener. That output tied the most in Kentucky history. He continued his momentum through the season, snatching up 109 tackles to rank 3rd in the SEC. His intense motor made it appear he was playing in a different speed than his peers. Another season of refining his fundamentals and processing the game faster should end Kentucky’s drought of no players drafted.

Roger Dixon Jr

Roger is a native of Orlando, FL. After excelling in DII football his first 2 seasons, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of playing on the Florida Gators football team, where he was named Special Teams Player of the Year and Team Captain. He earned his degree in Economics from UF's Warrington College of Business. Roger brings a passion for football and unique perspective of what it takes to be successful in football at the highest level.
