Below are notable Georgia Bulldogs players eligible for the 2018 NFL Draft. Georgia is feeling good with their 5 star QB, two stud RBs, a top ranked defense and a top 3 recruiting class.
Running Back Nick Chubb – 5’10”, 228 lbs. – Senior
Chubb is a potential Heisman trophy finalist and 1st round prospect. He has sustained some injuries but his running style of slashing through the lanes with a low pad level dominates and reminds me of Doug Martin and Maurice Jones-Drew.
Running Back Sony Michel – 5’11”, 222 lbs. – Senior
Michel is a do it all back. He is quick footed running between the tackles, is a natural pass catching weapon, and he return kicks. Combined with his experience of sharing reps with another dynamic runner, he has a good chance to rise the draft board.
Guard Isaiah Wynn – 6’2”, 302 lbs. – Senior
Wynn is not getting much publicity right now but I saw 1st round talent from him last season. He’s a smack talking, mauler in the run game and he dominated some of the 2017 draft’s top pass rushers.
Defensive End Davin Bellamy – 6’4″, 242 lbs. – Senior
Defensive Tackle Trent Thompson – 6’4”, 295 lbs. – Junior
Thompson sits in the hot market of DTs that can defend the run AND rush the passer. Last season, he led Georgia’s interior defense with 56 tackles while providing 5 sacks. Another season with similar production and he’ll hear his name called early.
Linebacker Natrez Patrick – 6’3”, 238 lbs. – Junior
Patrick was the 2nd leading tackler for the Georgia Bulldogs even while missing 3 games last season. He flies laterally to cover sideline to sideline and delivers bone crushing hits when his opportunity comes.
Safety Dominick Sanders – 6’0”, 193 lbs. – Senior
Two seasons ago, Sanders led the SEC in interceptions and was chosen to the All -SEC team. His production dropped last season, supposedly due to a shoulder injury which slowed him down. Another healthy and ball hawking season could solidify him as one of the top safeties.
