Below are notable Colorado Buffaloes players eligible for the 2018 NFL Draft. Colorado is fresh off a ten win season and an appearance in the PAC-12 Championship game, losing to the Washington Huskies. But this team is missing a ton of talent off of last year’s roster: just two starters return on the defensive side of the ball, where Colorado played so well last season. This year will be a big test for the program and their ability to sustain success.
Lindsay was the team’s all-purpose leader last year, hitting 1252 rushing yards and 16 total touchdowns. He runs tough too, he’s got better balance and ability to stay upright off of contact than one would expect. Lindsay has a likable level of quickness and his size plays to his advantage when tasked with making steep cuts.
Wide Receiver Bryce Bobo – 6020, 190 – Senior
Bobo had limited productivity last year (Shay Fields was the team’s leading receiver last year, hitting nearly 900 receiving yards with 9 total touchdowns) but I see more NFL traits in Bobo than I do any other Colorado target. Bobo had a good showcase against USC last year, winning routes with physicality and playing combative in all phases. Bobo doesn’t have great long speed or acceleration but he’s a true possession receiver mold.
Free Safety Afolabi Laguda – 6010, 205 – Senior
The lone returning senior on a team that was filled with experienced starters last year, Laguda will be lonely in the backfield after seeing teammates Ahkello Witherspoon, Chidobe Awuzie and Tedric Thompson leave for the NFL. Laguda will have to step up with his ball production to help Colorado cover for having such green defenders across the board this year.
